Founded in 2012 by Wong Tin Ying Tiana, miniature zine eggwich strives to promote local miniature books. The publication project is based on the form of book art, each issue features miniature books no more than 4.5 cm in length, written, illustrated, and handmade by different makers. The miniature books are sold randomly by gashapon machines, as if individual columns of an issue to be assembled by readers.

Publications can be small The content of miniature books are condensed and concise when compared with mainstream books. The limited dimensions is also a source of more adaptability and creativity.
Randomness entails chance encounters Under the random dispatch of gashapon machines, every book has an equal chance to be sold and readers, in turn, have more opportunities to be matched with different books.
Book art is a field of art Book art involves literature, design and visual art. By subverting the traditional frameworks of book making, zine eggwich introduces multiple perspectives for book appreciation.
